Just a thought

The tinier one's brain, the less others need to wash.

  1. ....... but then again.... when you add up all those tiny little brains, it becomes one gigantic uncontrollable mess..... I wish we had a lot less (bigger) brains which was washed often.

Statistically that statement doesn't work. :)

  2. I think our susceptibility to brainwashing has less to do with the organ's size than with how much control we can exercise over our own thoughts. In most cases: very little.

  3. Stan: You are absolutely right! I wrote my comments with a lot of grain of salt....

Actually I was talking about not brain washing but actual washing with laundry detergent... :):)

  4. Dear Sean :) - You're so mysteriously subtle. Or maybe just plain obscure? (See your June 05-10 post: "Interesting, isn't it?", and the link to pellucid.) Whatever...Your profound thought, and Nevin's comment, lingered in my mind during sleep, creating a whirpool of grayish gel-like matter swallowed in giant sudsy water. This morning, I'm very relieved to read Stan's clarifying comment.

Actually, I had a fairly substantial brain in my youth. It resisted cleaning. But throughout the years, it had to endure so many scrubbings, that it lost much vigour. I doubt it has retained one original thought from my brilliant, resilient, strongly opiniated, know-it-all young years.

    I'm not sorry...

  5. You know, Sean, that I love your challenging posts. The word "subtle" applied to you is high praise from me. ;-)

  7. I've come late into this conversation, Sean. I don't understand what's going on.
